I am fitness trainer for 20 years. I spent a lot of time by looking for ideal supplements for me. First of all I had to buy many and many different products to test them on myself. After years of experience I finally made my top picks from all suplements which are out there and believe me there is thousand of them. After I found out which products really work I decided to make website where I can show you all of them and create opportunity to buy them at one place.

I will focus on your goals and needs every step of the way, to achieving the final result for you. Whatever your biggest obstacles are, we strive to tear them down with you. You can always count on us for the support, motivation, and attention you need to break down any mental or physical barriers. My reviews would help you to achieve your goals and top results. Maybe you ask yourself why there is only 10 products over here, but remember, this is business so supplement companies try to sell you everything, but most of it is just useless for you. That is why I pick only 10 must have products for you.

Weight Loss Winner TRANS4ORM

Introduction

Virtus checking in folks, what follows is a narrative of the two bottles of Ostra Shred that I have used. Not back to back.  For my stats- I started out my second run with this product at 235, 6’2″ and around 15% BF (no calipers, off of memory when I last had it checked and my weight). I ended my cycle at 222.2 lbs, significantly thinner in my waist, and my striations in my arms and back visible again.

“On cycle” I strictly used creapure and protein powder and support supplements.
Exercise was 45min- 1hr a day lifting in evenings, 1 hour of stationary bike in the mornings while fasted. I bike same days as lifting 2 days on 1 off.
Diet was clean, right at or under maintenance. I like food, so I prefer to increase exercise as opposed to cutting caloric intake.

Ingredient Profile

Absorption Blend: Grape Seed, Celery Seed, 350mg.
Velvet Bean 125mg
Androst-3,5-Diene-7,17-Dione (Armistane) 25mg
TRANS4ORM (Im not going to type the nomenclature out) 12.5mg
Take 2x daily.
I am not going to review the Velvet Bean (l-dopa) and absorption blend, the point of this product is, is TRANS4ORM and arimistane a good, maybe even synergistic cutting cycle?

Effectiveness

First, I would compare this product to a light run of epistane. I really feel like it is equivalent to 5 week cycle of 20/25/25/30/30 epistane. But, take it for 6-8 weeks to get these results. I didn’t really start seeing anything noteworthy until week 4. Also, for me there was a bounce back on estrogen after discontinuing the product. When you suppress estrogen for 8 weeks like this, your body will sense that it is low on estrogen and try to re-balance itself. Kind of like when running real gear. Is it enough of a bounce back to warrant worry about gynomastia? For me the answer is no, but I definetly put back on water weight after the cycle. If you are gyno prone, might not be a bad idea to run a short Torem cycle for two weeks.

Sum it up: I love this stuff for keeping muscle while cutting, and it would be a good recomp agent. It may be the only hormonal product you realy can access for this (since all the pseudo-trens are now banned).

Value

Widely available using google-foo at $65.  Good enough price for what you get in a bottle (120 servings) to cover you on an 8 week cycle.

Side Effects

Some estrogen bounce back. Light PCT advised. If you are gyno-prone or worried, do a SERM. If you have gyno, don’t use androgen related products at all IMO.  What are the long-term side effects of SARMs anyways? Something to think about…

Conclusion

If you are going to use a SARM, use Ostarine. S4 can put you in a dangerous position driving at night, or you could step on your wife’s cat like I did cause you cannot see jack. If you are cutting and want to maintain muscle mass, or recomping, this is a good choice.

While I wish that A) I could just go run a masteron/tren/test p cycle, I can’t anymore. B) Epistane was still legal, it isn’t. This is a decent third choice that accomplished similar goals with 1/10th the effectiveness of the former, and 1/4 the effectiveness of the latter.

 Pros:
 Cons:
  • Helps Dry You Out
  • Can Aid In Getting That Summer Look
  • Builds Muscle
  • It Is Somewhat Expensive
  • But You Get A Whole Cycle In One Bottle.

MRP my best meal replacement

Introduction

I haven’t used a Meal Replacement Protein in quite some time, but here lately I have been finding it harder and harder to eat in the mornings. I decided to grab this because I figured something chocolatety would go down better.

Ingredient Profile

Im like the 10th review on this product so I feel that the ingredient profile has been covered and detailed more than enough. What you have is what you would expect from Nutrabio, a clean profile where everything in listed and no extra un-needed fillers. Each serving gives you 25g of protein WPI/MiCasein, 25g carbs HBCD/Fiber, and 5g fat rom MCTs

Taste/Mixability/Dosing

I received the chocolate flavor and I enjoyed it. It was pretty rich in taste and mixed kind of thick even in plain water. Never had any issues with clumping or sticking to the bottom of the shaker. I dosed this at 2 scoops immediately upon waking.

Effectiveness

As mentioned in the intro I grabbed this as something to replace my usual breakfast that was starting to get old. Before getting this sometimes I would skip over breakfast all together and snack around mid morning, which from my past experience isn’t good when you’re trying to put on size. This product really broke that monotony, I was able to mix it up 1st thing and drink it down smooth and without issues. It kept me full through the mid morning and usually when I snacked mid morning it was because I wanted to eat on a schedule more so than me actually being hungry. I didn’t notice much of any other benefits, but as a meal replacement I didn’t expect any. It helped me get in my macros or at least some macros early in the AM without feeling pukey or without a ton of prep. I did experience one unpleasant side, but ill go over that in a sec.

Value

I guess this is a case of you get what you pay for, $40-45 for 18 servings is steep for that amount of servings, but if you use an extra scoop to hit macros being a little bigger than the average person or you use this more than once a day it would get extremely pricey. I don’t like fixing and eating normal breakfast, but $40 buys a lot of eggs, girts, sausage etc. I may use this a few times a year to break up the same ole boring routine, but I wont be stocking up on it anytime soon.

Conclusion

If you want something that’s quick, convenient, and has quality, well dosed ingredients then this is your thing. Makes it easy to drink down a shake and get more than just your usual protein with junk carbs. Thanks to Nutrabio for sending this out to the TROOPS like always, they included some nice samples and a little swagger in the package, much appreciated.

 Pros:
 Cons:
  • Great Nutritional Profile
  • No Prop Blends
  • Carbs For Energy
  • Feeds Muscle
  • Builds Muscle
  • Can Be Expensive Depending On Servings Used
  • Too Expensive
  • Some Gas Issues

Top Gainer MHP Up Your Mass

MHP has quickly become one of my favorite companies. Their product line brings a lot of tried-and-true, effective products, while also offering enough innovation to excite the hardcore supp junkies such as myself. Though their marketing techniques often fall into cliches, MHP’s products, as well as their reviews, tend to speak for themselves. Up Your Mass has been one of SR’s highest rated weight gainers for quite a while now, and for good reason.

Ingredient Profile

Take a look at the ingredient listing, and you will immediately see what separates Up Your Mass from the run of the mill gainer: qualitycarbohydrate sources. While most gainers are loaded withh cheap, high-glycemic carbs such as maltodextrin, HMP’s blend consists respectively of barley, oats, and oat fiber. As someone who tries to maintain a clean diet 24/7, I feel comfortable ingesting this product, which is more than I can say about most gainers on the market. Next we have the protein blend, which is highlighted by soy protein isolate (I know, I know). However, I am not bothered by the inclusion of soy. It is higher in amino acids arginine andglutamine (1), and has been thought to be as effective as whey (2). I would rather not see it as the main protein source here, which is the reason for my non-perfect rating, but this is a fairly minor gripe. If this product consisted of hydrolyzed whey and micellar casein, then you would see that represented in the product’s price. Additionally, MHP adds branched chain aminos to their protein blend, and provides an amino acid prodile on the label. Other companies typically do not do this, which makes comparisons difficult, but I appreciate the bit of transparency offered here. An under the radar addition to the Up Your Mass formula is CLA. I plan to email MHP to find out exactly how much is in here, and will comment with any updates.

Breakdown (strawberry flavor): 500 cal/10g fat/60g carbs/ 46g protein
Macro breakdown: 18% fat/35% carbs/47% protein

Effectiveness

I aim for 4,000 clean calories per day. Admittedly, due to work, school, and girlfriend, I do not always reach my goal. Since I have been using Up Your Mass, I have found it much easier to reach my dietary goals, and have seen the results in my physique. Many factors affet weight and strength gain, and unfortunately I have no specific numbers to report, but I have noticed consistent muscle gain while using this. I use one serving per day and will often sip on it throughout the day, which I assume has helped maintain a positive nitrogen balance between whole food meals. I have no side effects to report.

Value

At my store, I have done some calculations and found Up Your Mass’ value very comparable to products of lesser quality. Depending on where you buy, UYM might run you one dollar per every 200 calories (17 servings per tub). Factor in the convenience of a weight gainer, and I feel like MHP’s Up yyour Mass offers a very solid value.

Conclusion

It’s no secret that Up Your Mass is one of the highest quality weight gainers on the market. If you’re looking for an extra boost to your clean bulk, I highly recommend you pick up a tub.

 Pros:
 Cons:
  • Builds Muscle
  • Good Value
  • Superior Blend
  • No Fluff Mass
  • The Real Deal
  • A Solid Weight Gainer

My choice for Glutamine

Glutamine from LiveLong Nutrition

MIXABILITY: A
Very good mixabiity, no clumping or settling, no matter what I threw it in with.

EFFECTIVENESS: B
This was actually my first run with glutamine by itself. I have taken it as part of a blend with other products before, but I have never supplemented just glutamine. Until now. I typically used one scoop pre-workout, then a second scoop with my post-workout shake. On off days, I dosed the servings one AM and one PM.
Product claims to aid in recovery, lean muscle mass, and helps support the immune system. For the most part, it met the claims. Recovery was better than normal, but the other two are a little harder to evaluate without constant testing. I’m normally a healthy person (asthma aside), but I did develop a bit of a cold in the beginning of my run. However, it didn’t really develop into anything more than just an annoying cough and sneeze, and I was over it fairly quickly. I also felt like I looked a tad bit leaner at times, but I am optimistic.
Still, it’s hard to sit here and say that it didn’t work.

VALUE: A
One 400g tub will net you 80 one scoop servings. At anywhere between $17-$19 per tub, that’s not a bad price at all. If you’re supplement glutamine year round, it’s difficult to say there are better values out there. If you’re thinking about staring, then this would be a good place to start.

OVERALL: A
Live Long’s Glutamine is about as good as it gets. The value is more than agreeable, and I do believe it to be quite effective at what it claims to do.
Products like these aren’t going to be world beaters in terms of results, but they will help (and sometimes better than we think) no matter what the goal is. However, they are almost always affordable and extremely stackable.

 Pros:
 Cons:
  • Better Immune Health
  • Better Recovery
  • Good Value

Best Bars

A big thank you to FitJoy for sending 2 of these Pre-Launch kits. I don’t eatprotein bars too often. I usually prefer real food and consider it a gamble trying something new as some bars as just plain awful. I usually stuck to what I knew and liked, which were basically a few of the Quest Bars andMetRx Bars, and even those were only in rare situations.

Although I complain, I still have a few laying around. So it was nice to have quite a few of these guys laying around as well.

Ingredient Profile

A bar will usually contain 20p, 7f, and 25c(13 being fiber). While the fiber content may be on average 4-5 grams lower, it’s still a very high amount for a protein bar.  No complaints here. There should be no reason anyone couldn’t fit this in their daily diet, unless you are getting ready for a show.

Value

While these guys are around 28 for a box of 12. Compared to other bars, it’s very comparable. Not the cheapest I’ve seen, but not bad by any means.  You shouldn’t rely on bars for food as it is, they are supposed to be convenient snacks when you’re in a pinch. The price is worth the quality in my opinion.

Conclusion

FitJoy will be my new go to protein bar. While they can’t be found at grocery stores yet like Quest and MetRx bars, when I have the options in front of me, I will choose FitJoy 99% of the time.

The taste is great and the texture blows the graininess of Quest bars out of the water. Worth having around the house for when you need a quick high protein snack that will help you hold you over until your next meal.

 Pros:
 Cons:
  • Gluten And Artifical GMO Ingredient-Free
  • Good Taste
  • Healthy Nutrition Content
  • Sufficient Macro Amounts
  • No Stomach Issues

Best Pump – Super NOS Pump

This pre-workout pump enhancer came highly reviewed and I love a good pump so I thought this product would be a great choice to try. It was very disappointing. I don’t doubt it works for some other people but it sure didn’t do much for me. I did not notice any increase in pumps at the gym while on Nos and if there was an increase, it was so faint that I couldn’t even tell. I took the recommended dosage over a 60 day period. The potency and effects did not increase with time.

Other than the lack of effectiveness, the side effects were horrible for me. After roughly 15 days of use I began to notice bumps and rashes on my skin, popping up periodically in various places all over my body. The skin irritation got worse and worse as I continued the use of Nos. I had to make sure that Nos was causing the problem, so I cut the use of every other supplement and still the problem persisted. At first it was just slightly annoying but at around the 50-60th day of Nos use, my skin irritation was becoming severe. I cut the use of Nos and within 48hrs the side effects began to fade. Within a week I was perfectly fine. Nos was definitely the cause of my problem!

Like I said, this product has some stellar reviews from other respected users, but for ME this was nothing but a waste of money and provided many nights of itchy skin. Will NOT buy this again.

 Pros:
 Cons:
  • It’s Inexpensive
  • Lack Of Potency
  • Horrible Side-Effects

Get ready for BCAA Insta Blast

The main thing I was looking for in this was the BCAA and with the 2:1:1 ratio totaling at 7.4g of BCAA was a great thing to see at first looks. The EEAs weren’t a necessity but they add to recovery factor and restricting DOMS. The addition of Glutamine is best for those who also take Creatine because it helps complete the cycle of ATP production and usage. The strength and performance matrix of Betaine Anhydrous and OKG wasn’t needed, but a plus for an intra supplement, but I don’t there was enough of it to notice a difference in the workout, probably an overload to the supplement. The electrolyte and hydration optimizer works together well to keep you hydrated especially if you’re one to sweat a ton. Looking at all the ingredients together, I was expecting a well put together product but also very skeptical due to the amount of ingredients that were in the product.

Taste/Mixability/Dosing

Taste: I’ve only tasted their Passion Fruit flavor but it tastes sweet and delicious. If you’re not into sweet tasting intra supplements then definitely not the flavor you want.

Mixability: Doesn’t mix the best, leaves a bit of foam and takes a bit too fully dissolve, but I never finish it with residue sitting at the bottom of my shaker

Dosing: I’ve only ever taken this intra workout, usually when I’m about mid way through. This definitely picks me up and almost like a second PWO in a way, it reenergizes my muscles and gives me the extra boost that I need to finish the workout. 1 scoop is all you’ll need

Effectiveness

I find this product incredibly effective as an intra supplement. It does exactly what you could ask of an intra BCAA. It reenergizes you’re muscles, gives you an almost reawakening as I may say and pushes you through the end of a tough workout. I’ve taken this both during cutting and bulking phases and I see more of an effect while cutting, most likely because of a lack of energy from a low carb diet, but still beneficial during a bulk just not quite to the extent.

Value

This is where they get you. Coming in at $37 dollars for 30 servings narrowed down to $1.23/serving. A little expensive for my taste, but still wouldn’t consider it a bad value.

Conclusion

The combination of BCAAs, EEAs and hydration optimizer really does benefit the workout, especially if you’re cutting or experiencing a mid-workout crash. I do really like this product and will buy again if and when I am able to.

 Pros:
 Cons:
  • Increased Energy
  • Helps With Recovery
  • Increases Hydration
  • Reduces Doms
  • Rehydrates
  • Sweet Tasting
  • A Little Expensive

PRIORITY #1: WHEY PROTEIN POWDER

Introduction

I found out about Supplement Reviews while doing some research to get honest reviews on supplements. I decided to write this review in order to help others find that “honest” review that they are looking for. I’m not looking to praise or shame a product, just simply give my honest opinion. I have been working out for roughly 4 years with an overall goal of building muscle. ON Gold Standard 100% Whey is probably the supplement that I have used more than anything which is why I feel that I can give an honest review on it. A few of the other supplements I plan to review are: Kre-Alkalyn, ON Creatine Monohydrate, Con-Crete, C-4 Pre-workout and ONGlutamine.

Ingredient Profile

The serving size for this is one rounded scoop, 30.4g. This will give you approximately 14 servings per pound.
If you are keeping track of your daily intake, please note that each serving has 120 calories that consists of: Protein-24g, Fat-1g, Carbohydrates-3g (Sugar-1g), Cholesterol-30mg, and Sodium-130mg.
Other ingredients contained in this product, per serving, are: Cocoa, Lecithin, Natural & Artificial Flavors, Acesulfame Potassium, Aminogen, and Lactase.

Taste/Mixability/Dosing

I purchased the Double Rich Chocolate and have to say it wasn’t bad at all. I’m not a huge fan of anything chocolate but the flavor wasn’t so overpowering that you have to be a chocolate fanatic to use it. When it comes to mixing, it is probably one of the best proteins that I have used. It mixes with both milk and water really well and I’ve never really had it clump together like other protein powders. I never tried to mix it with a spoon but it mixes so easy that I could see that working out just fine. I would recommend to pour your water or milk into your cup first, if not it seems to take a minute to get all of the powder to mix. My typical dosing was 1 scoop in 6oz. of water in the morning and 2 scoops in 12oz. of water after my workout and at night.

Effectiveness

During my time taking this, I was feeling stronger and seemed to have slightly better workouts. I certainly think that this protein was keeping my body fueled and ready to go.

Value

I bought this on Bodybuilding.com for $14.98/lb. Compared to the average price of protein, I think that this is a reasonable price to pay for such a quality product. I will most likely buy this again in the future and don’t regret spending the money on this. The way I see it is, a small price to pay to help me reach my goals!

Conclusion

If you’re searching for a tasty protein that mixes well and goes down smooth, I’d recommend this one. You can’t ask for a better product at such a good price. I will continue to use this myself because I know it works.

 Pros:
 Cons:
  • Mixes Well
  • Builds Muscle
  • Good Value
  • Great Taste

Best Vitamin Complex

Everyone male wants to be alpha, If only there was a pill to give us this. Wellmyprotein.com has some multivitamins that are called Alpha men, but do they make you Alpha?

Profile
Can be seen here
http://us.myprotein.com/sports-nutrition/alpha-men/10852379.html

One can sit and break apart a multi all day, end of the day , all that matters to me is if it is working and and how I feel on it.

Effectiveness 6
I really hate putting this low, but after running 3 other multi as a comparison to this one. I could tell a big change in how I felt while on this one. Mostly not for the good either. I judge a multi one effectiveness on a few simple things. Digestion, well being, general alertness, energy, and sometimes skin also others have helped with allergy relief as well.
Now first off I noticed my digestion and movements changed, Not as often or easy . I’ll leave it at that.
Next was the energy boost and alertness, I never even noticed taking this on most days. Every once in a while I would get a slight feeling of alertness but not so much as energy as some others have provided. Also I never noticed any help with skin clearing up or just clean looking skin as I have with two others I have tried this year.
I never had stomach issues with these, they do not have bad taste or burbs so that is a plus. I just feel that this one fell to short for me to like it to well. It has a good profile and is made from a company I trust so I do not feel this is a bad multi, I just did not get what I was expecting out of it.
I do understand that a multi is not a cure all, but for the most part you can tell if you are taking one that works or not.

Dosing 10
2 pills, easy to swallow, no burbs or funny taste.

Value 8
You can get a 120 serving for 19.99 and myprotein.com runs discounts here on Sr.com all the time so the value just goes up.
I just cant rate higher due to the effectiveness I had while on this.

Overall
I feel that myprotein.com is still one of my first go to places for products, I love their proteins and some other things they make. I just wished this had worked a bit better for me. I loved the simply 2 pill approach but I am starting to feel that there is just not enough room in just two pills to pack a true all around multi. I have had better success with multi’s in a pack form, but that gets old taking all those pills early in the morning. I will still use other Myprotein.com products, but I will be skipping this one for me.
Thanks again for being a part of SR.com.
